Happy New Year!
This is a time of year to reflect on our past, enjoy the moment, and prepare for the future so I’d like to share a few thoughts.
I’m grateful for those who have come before us, from our charter members, to past presidents and former board members. 2018 was a successful year for our chapter thanks to Val’s leadership and active involvement from your board and chapter members. I’m so proud of the generosity shown in support of good works, great meeting topics and presenters and the support members have provided each other through networking opportunities.
Your new board meets on January 9th to focus on assigning (or volunteering for) tasks and activities and get to know our newest additions. I’m honored to be serving as your president this year and have complete confidence in Val, Kristi, Joel and Laurie as they continue and/or move into officer roles. I’m super excited to welcome Stacy and Lisa as board members as they join Cathy, Harriette, Mike and RoseAnne.
In planning for the new year our focus will continue to be on providing valued benefits to our members as well as focusing on Circle of Excellence goals. Our chapter is only as strong as our members so I encourage your feedback and active participation throughout the year. January 16th will be a “free” networking for paid members and we will have 3 more “free” meetings in 2019. Kim Dahlin, one of our own who is also NSIP President will be our speaker in February as we welcome NSIP members to this joint meeting. March is ethics month and one of our new designees, Ann Pechloff has volunteered to present at this meeting.
Scholarship applications will be accepted in the first quarter so watch for updated forms and guidelines on the chapter website. Tune in next quarter for an update, join the chapter LinkedIn group and follow us on Twitter.
